Flight training pathways

Five structured aerospace tracks

From first discovery flights in single-engine trainers to commercial FAA Part 107 licensing, our curricula put Central Ohio students directly at the controls.

Core flight syllabus

Piloted aviation and engineering

Track 01

Aviation Futures

Hands-on discovery flights, active air traffic control tower visits, and cross-country navigation basics. Students log verifiable logbook entry hours under the supervision of FAA-certified flight instructors.

Track 02

Wings of Tomorrow

Structured ground school covering aerodynamics, airspace classifications, radio communications, and weight-and-balance calculations. Cohorts work toward formal private pilot ground school milestones.

Track 03

AeroSTEAM engineering

Applied principles of propulsion, structural airframe design, and avionics troubleshooting. Students fabricate test airfoils and test wind tunnel dynamics in collaborative laboratory sessions.

Workforce credentialing

Commercial drone licensing

Autonomous mapping module

Hands-on flight automation and sensor payloads. Students plan programmatic waypoint grids for orthomosaic mapping and agricultural thermal scanning.

Avionics bench maintenance

Field calibration and component repairs. Cohorts master motor replacements, telemetry transceivers, and lithium polymer battery safety protocols.

Droneworks FAA Part 107

Comprehensive workforce preparation preparing students aged sixteen and older for the FAA remote pilot commercial examination. The curriculum covers federal airspace regulations, emergency procedures, meteorology, micro-drone maintenance, and industrial flight maneuvers across real commercial inspection profiles.

Pathways matriculation

Our customized mobile operations trailer arrives equipped with networked VR flight simulators and enclosed micro-drone flight cages.

Certified instructors guide classes of twenty to thirty students through structured forty-five minute avionics and flight control rotations.

Students showing advanced aptitude receive direct placement into after-school Part 107 cohorts and active airfield flight programs.

Staff evaluate your school parking apron or gymnasium for safe staging, electrical hookups, and local flight boundary clearances.

Schedule cohort training

We coordinate directly with Columbus area school districts, community centers, and youth organizations to bring flight instruction to your campus.
